Aston Villa fans are taking note that Swindon Town will be no push-overs despite being two divisions below them as the two teams meet in the fourth round of the Capital One cup at the County Ground during the week of 29th October.

Many comments on the Vital Aston Villa forum state that whilst on paper it`s a game they should win, it is a tricky fixture given Town`s recent giant killer status and Town shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Many Town fans may think that Premier League fans are ignorant to the lower leagues, but their fans are taking note, a poster named as blackcountryvilla posted “We’ll probably go out knowing us. Di Canio has beat 8 teams from higher leagues since being at Swindon, gulp.” Another poster Frossum wrote, “reckon we have the second easiest draw so we should at least be grateful for that. However, that being said Swindon has a reputation for scalping upper teams in recent years. we better not take this lightly. “

Tickets for this match are likely to be in the £15.00-£18.00 range after the clubs come to an agreement on ticket prices although this won`t be announced until around next week. Aston Villa will be given the Stratton Bank stand behind the goal most likely due to the interest in their support also with many fans wanting to come as it`s a new ground for them. It is unknown whether they will be given the corner of the Arkells or whether Town will try to sell this to home fans.

Villa manager Paul Lambert is expected to play most of his first team which means Gabby Agbonlahor, Charles N`Zogbia and Shay Given who was once on loan at Swindon will be set to feature in what is expected to be a sold out match.

We cannot wait.

Yes, pretty grounded lot us Villans, we’ve seen it all and so don’t expect miracles. We are also very unpredictable at the moment because we have a ‘new’ team and our results have been up and down. When we are good, we are very good though!
