Swindon Town have signed former Plymouth Argyle defender Hasney Aljofree to a three year contract.

Plymouth Argyle, let Aljofree join Swindon for a fee of £50,000 as he was well down the pecking order at Home Park.

Aljofree has played under Sturrock at Plymouth, Dundee and Sheffield Wednesday(on loan).

Aljofree becomes the second defender to sign a three year contract since the end of the season.

Jerel Ifil was handed a three year deal at the conclusion of the season.

Speaking to Swindon’s official website Aljofree said he thinks Town can gain promotion again and told the media, ‘I know a few of the lads such as Craig Easton and Lee Peacock. I know how well Swindon did last season and there is great potential here. There is only so far you can go with potential though – I believe we can achieve again this season.’
