After being linked to the club briefly at the start of the season, Danny Wilson has signed Leeds United player Alan Sheehan on loan until January.

The 23 year old is a former Republic of Ireland international (5 caps) who operates at left back but is known for his ability to attack from this position.

Sheehan started his career with Leicester City making his debut on the final day of the 2004/05 season in the 0-0 away draw at Plymouth Argyle.

He made 21 league outings for the Foxes while also spending some time at Mansfield Town and Leeds United before joining the latter on a full-time deal in 2008.

Sheehan has struggled to make an impact at Elland Road since Gary McAllister’s sacking last year while Town fans may recall the Irishman was sent off at the County Ground in Leeds’ 3-1 win last season.

Under current boss Simon Grayson, he has spent much time out on loan with Crewe Alexandra and Oldham Athletic.

Not a bad defender but as you saw last season makes unneccesary reckless challenges.

I think he will fit in well providing he puts in a good shift. Our defence is quite impressive at the moment.
