Swindon Town reserve team coach has been sentenced handed a six month community order along with 60 hours unpaid work and a £60 in costs.
The Reading legend was signed by Dennis Wise in the summer of 2006 where he helped lead Swindon to automatic promotion from League Two.
After retiring the former Welsh international joined the backroom staff and has been caretaker manager in his time at the County Ground.
Williams was involved in an incident in the Old Town of Swindon in November 2008. He pleaded guilty in February and was sentenced today.
Yesterday, Swindon Town released a brief statement on the official website stating
‘Following completion of the legal proceedings the Club will consider its position before issuing any further statement.’
