Aden Flint is now officially a Bristol City player after completing his medical at Ashton Gate.

Flint signs a four year contract at Bristol’s second biggest club and had a parting message for Swindon Town.

“It`s been difficult (the move) as [Swindon] gave me my first chance in the Football League and I obviously thank them, but as I said, I see this as a new challenge for me and one I`m looking forward to.”

City are believed to have paid around £350,000 for Flint as well as paying the sell on fee to Alfreton Town whom Town originally signed Flint from.

Flint made close to 80 appearances for Swindon and was Danny Wilson’s last signing for the club before being sacked and was set to remain at Town after the club activated a clause in his contract to give him another year at the County Ground.

Flint who scored ‘that goal’ at Brentford, had other ideas and promptly slapped in a transfer request after hearing of Bristol City’s interest.

Of course as a Swindon Town fan we hope that Flint’s time at City ends the same way as Matt Heywood who thought heading down the M4 would enhance his career.
