Former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Steve Adams has confirmed he would welcome a move to Swindon Town.

Adams name had been linked to Swindon for some time after the midfielder was released by the Hillsborough outfit at the end of the season, the same time as Barry Corr.

Adams has admitted a move to Wiltshire would be considered ‘very seriously’

Adams played 176 games for Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock at Plymouth. Whilst at Plymouth Adams was a key figure in insuring Argyle’s promotion from Divisions 3 and 2.

Adams went on to join Sturrock at Sheffield Wednesday in March 2005 before being released at the end of this season.

Adams has admitted that he has yet to have any contact from Swindon Town in regards to a switch to the County Ground.
