Swindon Town have rejected a second offer for Town defender and captain Gordon Greer.

The Sky Sports website are reporting that Brighton boss Gus Poyet has placed a bid of £250,000 to try and secure the services of Town’s Scottish centre-back.

However, it seems that Andrew Fitton and Danny Wilson are not even considering such the notion of losing such a key player to a rival League One outfit.

Sky Sports use terms like ‘hanging on’ to describe this small saga. However, Gordon Greer has done nothing to suggest that he wants to leave Swindon Town and is fully expected to captain the side on the opening day of the season.
